"Best Dang Buick/Olds/Pontiac (& GMC) Show, period!"
Fourth Annual - April 18, 2004
Hosted by Pines Pontiac-GMC-Buick and
the
Hurricane Chapter of Pontiac Oakland Club International

There is only one Buick/Olds/Pontiac (and GMC) show in South Florida.  Welcome to the pictures of our 4th annual show.  Also known as "The Best Dang BOP Show, period,"  the annual event hosted by POCI's Hurricane Chapter and Pines Pontiac consistently draws the best General Motors manufactured in the by-gone era of the '50s, '60s, 70's and '80s.

The weather was fantastic this year.  Only 79 degrees with low humidity.  As usual, our DJ and master of ceremonies, Scott the Music Man, did a superb job in keeping the tempo of the show upbeat.   Official attendance was 82 vehicles, with a couple last minute stragglers that just stopped by to say hello and not to compete in the judging.  So all in all, attendance was at about 90 BOPs.

Not to be outdone by DJ Scott the Music Man, our Chief Topless Tom was in full command of the microphone at raffle time - which seemed to be every 20 minutes as the show organizers worked their magic in extracting free gifts from local merchants to support our show.   Topless Tom can raffle them off just like the best of them (though I wouldn't quit my day job just yet Tom) - especially when it came to the free airline tickets and 50/50 raffle.

Our show this year included GMC vehicles as our national organization, POCI, has included GMCs in the fold of our 10,000+ automobile club.   Some very nice "samples" this year.  Maybe next year we'll throw in some Cadillacs.

Special recognition goes out to Monica Diaz, Secretary/Treasurer of the Hurricane Chapter, who (virtually) single-handedly organized the show beginning right after the New Year.
